Our story

Born on a stage, not in a boardroom.

Living Mixtape was built by two working musicians — Johnny Chase and Mina Reya — who got tired of watching great nights, and the fans who made them, disappear by morning.

The why

Two problems we lived.

The small one stings: a fan calls out a song you don't know, and for a second the spell breaks. The big one is worse: genuinely great musicians can't make ends meet. Recording costs a fortune, streaming pays in pennies, and the real money is on stage — but a tip in the jar is here tonight and gone tomorrow.

So we built the thing we wished we'd had. The idea behind it is simple: a request or a tip should leave you with more than a moment — it should leave you with the fan. The tip is a candle. The fan is a fire that keeps you warm long after the lights come up.

The mission

We're on the artist's side.

Plainly: we want working musicians to make a real living from their art — without ever stepping off the stage to chase it. So we built Living Mixtape to put more of that living in your hands: more from every tip, a crowd that comes back, and the bookings that follow. We're with you, one room at a time.

The proof

We didn't guess. We lived it.

Living Mixtape's co-founders
Johnny Chase, Co-Founder · Mina Reya, Co-Founder

Living Mixtape wasn't dreamed up in a boardroom — Johnny and Mina built it on their own stages. Then Johnny ran a full year on it to see what it actually did. Here's his real year.

The booking that paid for itself.

"The 'Book me' button on my page has booked me more private gigs than any service I ever paid for — the people who saw me play turned into the gigs. No more waiting around for someone to call; I've already got their info, so I'm the one who reaches out." Johnny Chase, Co-Founder

That's the whole idea in one line: the room you already won turns into the gig you get paid for next.

And the tips followed.

Give people an easy way to chip in from their phones, and they give more, not less:

Who it's for

A standard, not a status.

Living Mixtape isn't for a genre or a career stage. It's for the professional — the musician who shows up ready and treats the work like work, whether that's a brand-new act or a band handing over the encore. That's the one thing we ask, and it's why we curate. Not snobbery — care. We protect the pros, and our name, from anyone who'd cheapen the night.

The network

Your shows reach beyond your own fans — for free.

When fans discover other Living Mixtape artists, your upcoming shows show up for them too — automatically. Every night you're on stage is a chance to reach people who didn't know you yet. No extra work. No extra cost. That's the network working for you.

What we won't do

The lines we won't cross.

We'll never sell or exploit the people who come to your shows — their information is never ours to trade. We'll never spam them or trick them. We'll never lock you in; your contact list is always yours to take. And we'll never cut corners on how this looks, on stage or on screen — because looking like the real deal is half the gift.

The roster

Built by artists. Used by artists.

We built it on our own stages. Now it's on theirs.

"A cool new way for fans to request songs, tip, find my music and socials, and book me — all from their phone."
